I’m a Geek. I used to hate the word but about 12 years ago I embraced it. You see, I realized that all the great inventions and discoveries throughout history (and pre-history) all have one thing in common. They were invented, discovered or other wise investigated Geeks. Why you can bet that the cave guy that discovered how to create fire did so because he wasn’t invited to go on the big hunt. He was a Geek.

Now I’m a Daddy. I used to think that I would never want children. Why would anyone want a little rug rat running around; getting into everything. Until one day, when my girlfriend and I was having an argument about clocks and I blurted out; well let’s get married and have children! She said yes. Over the next few weeks the idea grew and grew in my head like a life of it’s own. A few months after we were married we decided it was time to start “trying to have a baby”. Now this was new! For nearly half of my life it’s been “trying NOT to have a baby” now I have to flip that around but by this time I was ready. I wanted nothing more than “child process number 1”.
Babies, a BIG family, that’s what I want. After all these years of looking for what I want out of life and much to my chagrin it’s… family.
