Quitting Facebook

It may come as a shock to many of acquaintances but I am NOT quitting Facebook. There are, of course, very good reasons for my staying so let me lay them out for you.

We have moved... again.

We decided that Christmas and New Years was just too tame. To really make things interesting, we needed to take all of our belongings in the apartment, put them in boxes, transport them by truck, and put them back in our house... in random order. As you can see, with this kind of entertainment waiting for me every day after work, I haven't had the spare cycles to post much. I do have some good one in the works; even a new survival guide. ...stay tuned!

cc567a_300Home offices are becoming more prevalent then ever and if you are adding a new member to your family then you are going to notice that babies take up a lot of room. In fact, the amount of room you child will take up is inversely proportional to their age. My research shows that it's 142.5 times that of a 20 year old. This is of course completely made up but you get the point. Children always take up more room than you expect so the amount of room that you have will shrink ...to about zero.

To DVR or not to DVR...

There really is NO question. Yes! You want a DVR; you want the best and biggest you can get. Here's why:

Take lots of pictures

If you have a child or are going to have a child, you will want to take lots of pictures. Some people just buy a cheap 'point and shoot' and they just ...point and ...shoot. Instead, take a few minutes and learn a bit about photography and which camera to buy. In the process you'll create a record of your child's early life that will never fade and you'll have more fun doing it.

Just in case you haven't noticed, the world is in the beginning stages of an economic disaster. A lot of people are looking for some place safe and /or stable to put their child's (or their own) money. I've been looking for some time now and and what I have found is

Car seats

My wife and I have always insisted on really good car seats for Jessica. I feel that there are some things that you just should not skimp on and safety is on the top of that list. We have bought some expensive car seats but we did our research, we shopped smart and I think we have come out saving money plus peace of mind.

We just went to our fourth Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circus. In the spirit of my "World Famous" Wiggle's Concert Survival Guide, I decided to create a "Circus Survival Guide". This year we saw the Blue Tour which is called "Over the Top". This show, like all of them that we've been to was at the BiLo Center in Greenville. It's not my favorite location but we know it well and as always, we learned something new.

We have moved...

We have moved... We actually move a couple of months ago but things have been so hectic that there just hasn't been time to write about it. In an effort to magnify the pain and suffering of the move, I've decided that we need to "Simplify and Organize".

We just went to our fourth Wiggle's concert. This one was at the BiLo Center in Greenville. It's not my favorite location but it's close and on our way home I decided to share my knowledge on how to "SURVIVE THE WIGGLE'S CONCERT".
